Wearing army garb can sometimes be a tricky thing. It’s ironic that it’s designed to disguise those who wear it, but really wearing camo pants makes you stand out from the ranks. (See what I did there?) So, be brave and pair you army garb with something unexpected, like some glittered booties! I mean, why not? You’re already making a statement (in a good way) so be brave and be bold. March on. (Or something like that…)

I’ve received a few emails lately asking for style tips around what to wear to holiday events, cocktail parties and festive work functions. So, I’ve decided to dedicate a whole week to holiday inspired style! If you’re looking for a little December style inspiration, then stop back each day this week for plenty of ideas.
I don’t always like to wear head to toe black (it can be a little blah), but by adding in pops of gold and plenty of textures, my all black ensemble looks chic for a holiday dinner party or cocktails!

As soon as I saw these boots, the classic lyrics of Bubba Sparxxx (yep) started playing in my head… “I found you Ms. New Booty” (Hello freshman year of college). Now that everyone has enjoyed that sweet memory, it’s time to turn your attention to the reason for the singing- My glittery booties. I just love them. I wore this outfit over the weekend for a casual Saturday look. Boyfriend jeans, sweatshirt, scarf, booties. My idea of casual chic.

Even though maxi dresses are a standard summer staple, I couldn’t help but scoop one up when I was in Chicago a few weeks ago to incorporate into my fall wardrobe. Found on the summer sale rack at Bloomingdale’s, this maxi is the perfect blend of late summer with stunning fall hues. I paired it with a faux leather jacket that I got a few years and my blue peeptoe pumps. Perfect for those sunny yet crisp fall days!

After speaking at YPC this week on how to “Dress to Impress,” I couldn’t help but think about my ideal office attire. Always wanting to put my best foot forward, feel comfortable and confident, I pulled together the perfect ensemble for the workplace!

Shirt repeat alert! I just wore this shirt earlier this week (see Little Miss Sparkle) but I just love it so much I decided to style it a different way. I went with a monotone color palette of blues with my denim shirt, printed skirt and blue heels. I really love this look – It’s girly, but still so comfortable!

There comes a point in the summer where I become anxious and ready for fall fashion and layering. (This usually hits around the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale when I buy some pre-fall items…) I must have been desperate last week and tired of tanks and t-shirts, because I threw on a light summer sweater. I love the layered colors in this loose fitting sweater because they remind me of delicious Neapolitan ice cream. I paired my sweater with a chunky statement necklace and blue pumps to keep the look summery and light.
