Fuzzy Wuzzy

Sharing My Sole - Fuzzy Wuzzy

You know those sweaters that feel so warm and worn-in as soon as you put them on? I actually just purchased this sweater on major sale (like, this-is-so-cheap-you-are-not-allowed-to-return-it, sale) but as soon as I tried it on, I felt like I had it forever. So, maybe I’ll just say it’s my grandma’s old sweater from college. Yep, that sounds about right. This sweater is vintage. Forget everything I previously said…

Sharing My Sole - Cozy

If you’re wondering what I did this past weekend, I’ll tell you:  I plotted my move to a warmer climate.  I wish that were true, but I really just plotted ways to stay warm.  I also packed for NYC, where I am heading this evening!  I’ll be spending the rest of the week in the city for the IFB Conference and some fashion week events!  To stay up-to-date with my New York adventure, just follow along on Twitter or Instagram!

Gingham Style

Gingham is one of my favorite patterns for the summer, but sometimes I question how to wear it in winter…  I don’t want to look like a little girl headed to a picnic in the middle of January.  By layering on a sweater over my gingham button down, I easily took my favorite pattern into the colder months.  And on another note…  The first time I heard “Gangnam Style” I seriously thought he was saying “gingham style.”  And I still have no idea what else he is saying…

Put a bow on it

Now that everyone has taken off their turkey eating pants, it’s time to get back into the real world and into real clothes. My mind has totally shifted toward the Christmas holiday and I’m ready to dress in sparkles and sequins.

My bow collar jacket from eShakti is the perfect piece for the holiday season. If you haven’t checked out eShatki yet, then break out your tape measure and head over to their site. They can custom tailor all of their pieces for you based on everything from hips to height.

p.s. If you’re a regular reader of Sharing My Sole and noticed I didn’t post my Daily Shoe in Snap Shots yesterday, that is because I had the stomach flu and there were no shoes to speak of except for slippers, socks and UGG boots…

Neapolitan

There comes a point in the summer where I become anxious and ready for fall fashion and layering.  (This usually hits around the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale when I buy some pre-fall items…)  I must have been desperate last week and tired of tanks and t-shirts, because I threw on a light summer sweater.  I love the layered colors in this loose fitting sweater because they remind me of delicious Neapolitan ice cream.  I paired my sweater with a chunky statement necklace and blue pumps to keep the look summery and light.

Mixed Media

So I’ve recently been doing some spring, err summer, cleaning of my closet and I stumbled upon this super soft printed shirt from Anthropologie.  I love the unexpected mix of prints which combine black, white and a colorful floral pattern down the side.  It serves as a reminder to play with patterns and combine unexpected pieces.  I paired my top with some basic denim and a nude heel for an easy summer look.

Frequent Flyer

I’ve been traveling all over lately, driving across the state and flying across the country. With all of these trips, I’ve had plenty of practice finding the perfect frequent flyer outfit. When traveling, I try to keep my outfit simple, especially when going through the always enjoyable airport security. My ultimate comfortable yet chic outfit includes flats, t-shirt, wrap and oversized bag. I love this French terry wrap because it feels like a blanket, moves easily and doesn’t wrinkle.
