Work It

After speaking at YPC this week on how to “Dress to Impress,” I couldn’t help but think about my ideal office attire.  Always wanting to put my best foot forward, feel comfortable and confident, I pulled together the perfect ensemble for the workplace!

The main event:  Ann Taylor Print Cap Sleeve Wrap Dress

I tried on this little number in the store and it’s on my list of pieces to purchase!  It’s super comfortable, flattering and the saturated shade will look great on many skin tones.  For more conservative offices, add a black tank underneath.

Add on:  Tinley Road Black Blazer

By layering on this black blazer over your wrap dress, you create a crisp and professional emsemble.

Cinch your waist:  Jane Lizard Skinny Belt

Want to bring some attention to your tiny waist?  Just add a skinny belt!  Navy blue adds a little pop of color to the burgundy and purple hues.

A little arm candy:  Vince Camuto Studded Cuff

Add a little personality to your outfit by adding a chic statement cuff!

Finally, Shoes!  Jessica Simpson Pumps

I love a simple black pump with this stunning dress.  By adding a professional, pointed toe pump, your legs look long and lean.

Or, if you prefer flats:  Gomax Days Rounded Toe Flats

To The Max

I love an easy and “light as air” maxi dress for the summer.  In airy fabrics, a flowing frock is perfect for the heat of the summer and can be dressed up or down with minimal accessories.  I paired my striped maxi dress with a great summer wedge and simple hat.  By adding a beaded bracelet it creates the perfect pop of color without over-doing it.  The look is still effortless and easy peasy.

All that glitters…

Although I have never been a big fan of lots of glitter and sparkles, I do like to add a little shimmer into my outfits every now and then.  That’s why I love this top, because a white sequin blouse is so subtle, elegant and ladylike.  Staying on trend for the summer months, this white top with sequins adds a little texture and flair when paired with white pants.

Peeptoe heels and sandals are my favorite summer shoe, and these wedge sandals are a summer staple.  The brown wedges add some variety to my all white ensemble and my chunky gold cuff bracelet dresses up the whole look.

Daily Shoe in Snap Shots

I was finally in one place this week – at home!  It was nice to carefully pick out my shoes from my closet this week versus packing them all into my suitcase.  The amazing summer temps are inspiring me to bring out all my favorite wedges.  See what I’ve been snapping away on my phone this week and posting to Twitter (@sharingmysole).
